Who are we?

Hardware innovators since 2005

Keelog is an electronics company with over 20 years of experience building hardware that has shipped to all 6 populated continents. From keyloggers to retro PSUs, we engineer products that work.

Our story

20 years of building hardware that matters

Where it all began

Keelog is a company founded in 2005 around the idea of a hardware keylogger — a tiny device capable of capturing keyboard traffic without interfering with it. The first device we created was called the Keelogger Classic PS/2 and was built around a very simple 8-bit PIC microcontroller. Despite being quite successful in sales, it had some conceptual flaws, such as the dependency on a PC-side data retrieval application.

The KeyGrabber era

In 2006 we followed with a more advanced design based on a 32-bit ARM microcontroller that immediately became a best-seller — currently known as the KeyGrabber USB. Its concept of logging keystrokes stealthily and emulating a USB flash drive for data retrieval became the backbone of all future keyloggers, and has been copied by the competition as well. We later extended the series with the KeyGrabber Wi-Fi Premium, KeyGrabber Nano, Multilogger, and the TimeKeeper with built-in time-stamping. With over a decade of history, KeyGrabbers have been sold in over 100,000 units to all 6 populated continents.

VideoGhost & SerialGhost

In 2011 we introduced the VideoGhost — a compact frame grabber capable of capturing screenshots by tapping directly on a DVI, HDMI, or VGA video bus. The Pro and Max variants can replicate the video signal and send it over USB, making VideoGhosts valuable components in SCADA systems. In 2012 we launched the SerialGhost, a family of RS-232 serial loggers that inherited our proven 32-bit ARM architecture, later evolving to include Wi-Fi-enabled and time-stamping versions.

AirDrive & MorphStick

In 2016 we decided to make a major redesign of our logging devices. The AirDrive family was born — based on the ESP8266 Wi-Fi chip, AirDrives act as Wi-Fi hot-spots requiring no pre-configuration to access wirelessly from smartphones, tablets, or laptops. Our industrial experience then culminated in the 2018 MorphStick series: Ethernet- and USB-based data acquisition and conversion devices, highly customisable and intended as building-blocks for larger communication systems.

Software & full-stack development

Throughout the years, in parallel to developing electronics, we have done an immense amount of work in software development. For this reason in 2019/2020 we decided to start offering IT consulting and software development services. The phrase that describes us best is full-stack development, ranging from the design of electronics up to user interfaces and business-case consulting.

History

Key milestones

2005

Keelog founded around the idea of a hardware keylogger — the Keelogger Classic PS/2, built on an 8-bit PIC microcontroller.

2006

Launched the KeyGrabber USB, based on a 32-bit ARM. It became a best-seller and established the USB-flash-drive retrieval architecture copied by competitors worldwide.

2009

Released the KeyGrabber Wi-Fi Premium, KeyGrabber Nano, Multilogger, and TimeKeeper series. KeyGrabbers became the largest and most recognisable family of keyloggers in the world.

2011

Introduced the VideoGhost — a compact frame grabber for DVI, HDMI, and VGA buses. The Pro and Max variants became standard components in SCADA systems.

2012

Launched the SerialGhost RS-232 logger family (DB-9 and DB-25), later expanded to Wi-Fi, time-stamping, and bare-board module versions.

2017

The AirDrive family entered sales — ESP8266-based Wi-Fi keylogger and serial logger acting as wireless hot-spots, requiring zero pre-configuration.

2018

MorphStick series launched: Ethernet + USB data-acquisition and conversion devices designed as building-blocks for industrial communication systems.

2019

Expanded into IT consulting and full-stack software development, covering everything from electronics design to user interfaces and business-case consulting.
